Lord come paint a rainbow bright of hope within my soul
Take the greys of weariness and inject new hues of gold.
Scarlet streaks of passion that make me come alive
Rich and royal threads that weave your kingdom through my life.

Clean away the dust of disappointment from my heart
Replace faded tones of failure, polish me up real smart.
Bright and dancing, sun streaked light that shines upon my face
Pure and radiant tones of white that radiate your grace.

Help me leave the hurt and anger laid upon the cross
Know the darkest, blackest times were overcome, you paid the cost.
Now the brightest blues of faith can lift my everyday
Bold living greens can grow in me, with fruit that’s good to taste.

Lord come and paint a rainbow bright, of new hope deep in me
Shimmering with promises of hope and eternity.

Prayer of Encouragement for a Friend

Dear God,

I lift my wonderful friend to you
And give thanks for their friendship.
Please watch over them and guide their paths.
Pour out your spirit upon them,
May they receive fresh hope for their lives.
Brush away their concerns, disappointments and hurts,
Come open their eyes anew to your promises.
Stir up their faith to take risks again
May they be fully engaged with each moment.

Lord, please come and bless my dear friends’ life, plans and dreams.
