A prayer for a police officers wife
Dear God,
I love my husband and feel honoured to marry such a wonderful policeman.
Yet at times his service to others can leave me concerned.
I know he would lay down his life to love and protect people.
So I come to you with my worries and ask for your peace.
You love my husband and you have helped him to be such a wonderful policeman.
At times you join him in his service to others and intervene by your spirit.
I know Jesus, you have laid down your own life, to love and forgive us all.
So I come to you in prayer and dwell within your peace.
Amen.
Prayer for a fallen police officer
(A prayer for an officer injured whilst on duty, suitable for a service or prayer meeting)
Heavenly Father,
Please be with our colleague who has been injured whilst on duty.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Bless the work of the nurses and doctors who are treating him/her.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Bring your healing into his/her body, come restore him/her fully.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Be with their family, comfort them and keep them in their absence.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
May they know that they have served well and grant him/her peace of mind and heart.
Lord in your great mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Amen.

"Christ gives me the strength to face anything"
(Philippians 4:13, CEV)
"This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection."
(Psalm 91:2-4, NLT)
" And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels."
(Ephesians 6:10-12, MSG)
